Introduction

Bristol stool types

To evaluate the efect of probiotics as food supplements on reducing diarrhea causing by antibiotics
Stool morphology and quality of life were measured according to the Bristol type stools and gastrointestinal quality of life(GlQLl)questionnaires
It shows a summary of the results of the study subjects' quality of life survey. In the assessment of quality of life using the GlQLl questionnaire, significantly higher scores were observed in the probiotic group in the pleasure of eating (p = 0.043) and in activities of daily living (p = 0.033).

LA85 has the ability to regulate the Notch signaling pathway and promote intestinal mucosal repair. Additionally, it enhances the immune response of the body through the TLR4/NF-kB signaling pathway.

In this study, diarrhea occurred at a lower frequency in the probiotic group in comparison with placebo (6 vs 2 cases), and also delaving its appearance (3.5 vs 3.0 days) and with a shorter duration (3.5 vs 3.8 davs). in the PP population, includina the patients with full adherence, only one case of diarrhea was reported in the probiotic group. in the evolution of stools, more consistency has been detected across the treatment in the probiotic group, with a statistically significant decrease in the percentage of patients with the most dehydraing type 7 stools (2.4% vs 19.5%, thus highlighting the effect of probiotic to promote bowel regularity during the antibiotic period.
